As many will know the glove of choice for Junior Witter is Cleto-Reyes.Known as the "Punchers" glove.These custom made gloves were given to Junior by Cleto-Reyes distributor WBC Merchandising Europe and are styled in the colours of the Jamaican and British flags.

"Everyone in the gym has asked me where they can get these gloves from,but I keep telling them you gotta be the champ to get some,I daren't take my eyes of them for a minute in the gym or they will do a disapearing act,never to be seen again."

So is it just a myth,as a fighter do you punch harder in Cleto Reyes gloves?

"Most of my KO's have occured while sporting a brand new pair of Cleto Reyes fight gloves there is just something about the fit.It's funny but I can't use the fight gloves for pad work like so many pros do,they only feel comfortable to fight in."

Will he be wearing them in Doncaster 7th September? Or will we just have to wait and see.

"At the moment these are 14 oz sparring gloves but I am seriously considering having a pair made in 10 oz so I can fight in them,they would go really well with my shorts."

Maybe so, but then again as unpredictable as Junior is he might just turn up in a brand new style of shorts,failing that he just might do something different with his hair.Who knows?
